Live Comedy Thursday LCT; where Ghanaians became funny

If you think Nigerians are funnier, wait till you meet a real Ghanaian comedian. I'm not talking about household names like Funny face or DKB. Talk about talented artists whose gift in cracking jokes could only come second place to the great Ghanaian comedian Kweku Sintim-Misa; I speak of the 'Live Comedy Thursday'.
The Live Comedy Thursday is gradually surfacing into the Ghanaian night life with great comedy shows and open mic sessions you can't have enough of. It is a monthly comedy show where undiscovered comedians and open mic performers get the opportunity to get recognition.
Courtesy of the Live Comedy Thursday, more talents are being harnessed to revive the comedy industry of Ghana.
Some acts are in their early stages of development but I can't say same for the legends like Romanus, Jacinta the 'Halfco', Pious, Austin Dennis (my favourite) and the greatest comedian in my opinion, 'The Idiot James Brown'. These are some comedians you should watch out for in your next hunt.
At the recent event of the Live Comedy Thursday at Rina's Restaurant in Osu, the performance has left an impression on my naive mind; initially believed that Ghanaians are not as funny as the Nigerian comedian. (I'm yet to see any Nigerian who isn't funny)
Their style of picking on society and bullying every body into hysteric laughter is unimaginable. You laugh so hard you enter a state of temporal amnesia, the moment where you laugh, you cannot breath; you catch your breath and you wonder where you were. Yet you still continue laughing even after the comedian has left the stage. Brilliant artistry.
The most unique feature of the Live Comedy Thursday is that atmosphere is casual. Comedians sit and interact with their fans as casual spectators up until they are called to stage. This bring a passionate feel to the experience of live comedy.

The days of inviting Nigerian Comedians to entertain the Ghanaians (at the 'Nights Of A 1000 Laughs' series) are over.
In the remarks of the ace comedian Kweku Sintim-Misa, he expressed his gratitude to "wonderful" Ghanaians for coming out to support the comedy industry of Ghana.
The young comedians were honoured to have him laugh at some of their jokes (I never thought comedians laugh at each other's jokes).
Meanwhile DKB and a host of other comedians are on a road show “Savanna Premium Comedy Fiesta” comedy tour at the University of Cape Coast in the Central Region. It promises to be awesome!
